At an altitude of 430 - 520 meters, (1400 - 1700 feet), above sea level this assures you of a temperate climate and cool mountain breezes year round. The average rain fall in this area is in the neighborhood of 80 inches per year. This is more than sufficient to keep our area lush and green. Temperatures remain in the 70's on an average all year long. Remember there is only a few degrees difference between summer and winter in Costa Rica. Because of this, there is no real need for air conditioning. Quite honestly, a ceiling fan will be more than adequate to keep you comfortable.

Nearby, (about 40 minutes away), the provincial capital of Liberia sports a new International Airport with direct flights from many North American cities. American, Continental, Delta, United, & US Airways all have direct flights between major US cities and Liberia. There you can also find a new and modern shopping mall, restaurants, major medical facilities, and movie theaters. Liberia is large enough to be up to date yet without the crime and hassles associated with urbanized San Jose. The big city life is a short drive away on the PanAmerican Highway.

Catarata Llanos de Cortes

These beautiful hidden waterfalls are located a short distance from CerroVista. Their magnificence and sandy shore make an ideal place for picnics. During the week, one can almost assuredly be guaranteed solace and tranquility.

For the adventurous Safaris Corobici offers white water rafting, and kayaking. The more laid back of you can enjoy a day of fresh water fishing.

Zoologico Las Pumas is a refuge for wild cats, birds and monkeys. Their world famous cats have appeared on the BBC and the Discovery Channel

Centro Touristico Yoko

Soak in the volcanically warmed water In Centro Turistico Yoko. These hot springs have children's pools, sauna, slide, wet bar, restaurant and Cabinas.

Lomas de Barbudal Biological Reserve

Lomas de Barabudal is a protected biological reserve. This beautiful dry forest is home to many animals and birds. Spend a family day soaking in it's beautiful river, surrounded by natural beauty.

Parque Nacional Palo Verde

Parque Nacional Palo Verde is home to the most important bird population in Central America; here you can see such birds as Spatula Rosada, as well as a wide array of animals.

Centro Plaza Liberia

This newly constructed mall has a cinema, popular shops, a pharmacy, a food mall, and regular art exhibitions.
